This is a keystone of the development of the Springfield Ebenezer Greenway, a key element of the master plan. The benefits of the I-16 exit ramp removal would be significant. For this phase of the study, Symbioscity led the public and stakeholder engagement, including the development and maintenance of a project website and interactive online engagement. Today, as part of U.S. Highway 80, Victory Drive is challenged with the competing demands of a modern boulevard. This study aims to preserve, revitalize and maintain its historic, commemorative landscape and prominence as a signature boulevard. The curriculum equips school siting decision-makers and facility management personnel with information on the multitude of environmental, transportation, public health and quality of life considerations that are impacted by school siting decisions. This plan is an ambitious and bold attempt to unify the greater downtown of Savannah, to accommodate the demand for urban living, and to anticipate the needs of the future. It will create a new network of active transportation options and better coordinate all modes of mobility.
